There are now generations of graphic designers to whom type is just something virtual—a digital file, pixels, in no way different from an image. That has its advantages, because everything is possible. It also has a disadvantage, because anything is possible. And as I said before: for a designer it’s a good thing to have constraints: rules, clients, limited budgets, a specific audience. Because if you don’t have those, you stop being a designer.
